History

The company MONTEC GmbH was founded in 1988 by Dipl.-Ing. Werner Säugling in Biburg, near Augsburg. After many years of ongoing market observation it became obvious that certain branches of industry – including textiles, chemical fibers and papermaking industries in Germany - were  regressing and at the same time, more companies were relocating their activities to other countries, whether nearby or distant, and so the concept was created that suitable dismantling and re-installation services could be provided together with other practical and technical solutions to the changing circumstances in German industry .

As Chief Executive Officer, Werner Säugling has managed and developed this company for over 20 years, from small beginnings though to the major importance of the company today. At the beginning of this successful corporate history there were small contracts for installation and the company set its targets to provide a well-qualified team of employees with the necessary motivation. In addition, step by step, investments were made in technical equipment, machinery and vehicles. With the Reunification of Germany in 1989 and the ensuing flood of company closures or total relocations to the “New” Federal States, many new companies were given a clear boost to development.

Today MONTEC is a globally active center of competence and service in the field of dismantling and re-installation, primarily for machinery and system installations, corporate relocation, machinery shipping, domestic and foreign relocations and for ongoing maintenance in industrial premises.
